Ralph E. Brown
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Brown a graduate of Drake University, was formerly a field sales manager with Dow Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  Prior to this position, Mr. Brown was Product Manager for Dow and was in charge of the medical promotion and advertising for all Dow Pharmaceutical's products.    Prior to his position with Capellon, he was founder of Baylor Laboratories, Inc., which sold to Proctor & Gamble.    In 1989, Mr. Brown was one of the founders of the highly successful pharmaceutical manufacturing firm, Sovereign Pharmaceuticals, that merged with Capellon Pharmaceuticals in January of 2001.

Mr. Brown served in Vietnam as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and received his honorable discharge in 1971. After leaving the military, he enrolled at North Texas State University where he graduated in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration. Mr. Brown then joined a regional pharmaceutical firm as a sales representative. He received several promotions with this firm and in January 1994 became President and CEO, which was his position when he agreed to join Capellon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., in the same capacity in January 1999.

Ryan Vaughn
Vice-President Sales and Marketing

Ryan Vaughn graduated from The University of North Texas focused on entering into the healthcare industry. During this time Ryan ran his personal training business and worked extensively with physical therapy patients involved in workman's comp and work hardening programs. After graduation Ryan worked in lumber sales that focused on import and export shipping as well as domestic crating and packaging. While working for Conner Industries Inc., he was awarded the "Rookie of the Year" award. Ryan then joined the Capellon Team as a field sales representative working the company's largest territory and gaining a great amount of insight into the pharmaceutical industry. Ryan then joined Novo Nordisk Inc., a Danish company whose focus was insulin therapy and the entire diabetic portfolio. After holding various positions and getting to experience Novo Nordisk from an international standpoint in Denmark, the opportunity arose to rejoin the Capellon Pharmaceuticals team as their Director of Sales. Ryan was ecstatic to come back to the company where it all started and implement his ideas and experience to make Capellon Pharmaceuticals even stronger. After only 16 months, Ryan was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is looking forward to many great years ahead with Capellon.
