CAPELLON PHARMACEUTICALS, LTD., ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCT - RESCON® TABLETS WITH MAXRELENT™ RELEASE SYSTEM

Fort Worth, Texas - Capellon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., a specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the immediate availability of new Rescon® Tablets featuring biphasic MaxRelent™delivery technology.

Rescon® Tablets with MaxRelent™ release (U.S. Pat. Pending: 11/132,300) is a prescription drug combination specifically formulated to temporarily relieve symptoms such as excessive rhinorrhea and congestion resulting from irritation of sinus, nasal, and upper respiratory tract tissue due to cold, seasonal allergies, and inhaled irritants. Rescon® Tablets consist of a decongestant and two anti-allergic/ anti-secretory agents. Biphasic MaxRelent™ release provides immediate release Methscopolamine Nitrate for immediate drying; sustained release Chlorpheniramine Maleate for maintenance drying; and sustained release Phenylephrine HCI to open airways and allow patients to breathe more freely. Rescon® Tablets dries excessive nasopharyngeal secretions without over drying.

The MaxRelent™ biphasic delivery system features two separate and distinct delivery profiles customized to insure release calibrated to the unique therapeutic profile of each active ingredient. New Rescon® Tablets are uniquely formulated to provide quick relief of symptoms and prolonged therapeutic levels of active ingredient during each 12 hour dosing cycle. Each small, orally administered, bilayered tablet, is scored to allow titration for more sensitive adults and low dose responders such as children age 6-12 years or older adults.

CAPELLON PHARMACEUTICALS, LTD., ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCT - LIQUIBID-D® TABLETS WITH DUOMATRIX® RELEASE SYSTEM

Fort Worth, Texas - Capellon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., a specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the reformulation and immediate availability of new Liquibid-D® Tablets featuring biphasic Duomatrix® delivery technology. Liquibid-D® biphasic tablets with Duomatrix® release (NDC 64543-150-90) replaces Liquibid-D® Tablets (NDC 64543-141-01).

Liquibid-D® Tablets with Duomatrix® release (Pat. Pending: U.S. 11/115,321; International: PCT/US2005/20499) is a prescription decongestant/ expectorant product formulated to temporarily relieve symptoms associated with upper respiratory tract disorders such as sinusitis, bronchitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and hay fever. Liquibid-D® Tablets are also indicated for temporary relief of cough associated with upper respiratory infections and related conditions when these conditions are complicated by tenacious mucus or mucus plugs.

The Duomatrix® biphasic delivery system provides two separate and distinct delivery profiles customized to insure release calibrated to the unique therapeutic profile of each active ingredient. New Liquibid-D® Tablets feature both immediate release and sustained release Guaifenesin and Phenylephrine HCI in one conveniently dosed, easy-to-swallow tablet. New Liquibid-D® biphasic tablets provide a significant improvement over traditional sustained release tablets by providing active ingredient earlier and prolonged availability of active ingredient during each 12 hour dosing cycle.

Fort Worth, Texas - Capellon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., a specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the launch of Symax® Duotab featuring the first biphasic delivery technology.

Symax® Duotab biphasic hyoscyamine sulfate tablet is a prescription anticholinergic/antispasmodic product. A line extension of Symax®, Symax® Duotab is a first-of-its-kind hyoscyamine product using Capellon's unique biphasic delivery system designed to eliminate break through symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal motility disorders.

The Duotab biphasic delivery system (Pat. Pending 10/879,506) provides two separate and distinct delivery profiles for the active ingredient in one convenient tablet. Symax® Duotab is designed to release 0.125mg hyoscyamine sulfate immediately and 0.250mg hyoscyamine sulfate over the remaining 12 hours of the sustained release period. This dual delivery product begins working within minutes and continues working for a full 12 hours. CAPELLON PHARMACEUTICALS, LTD., ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF NEW PRODUCT- SYMAX® FASTAB

Fort Worth, Texas - Capellon Pharmaceuticals, Ltd., a specialty pharmaceutical company, today announced the launch of Symax® FasTab utilizing the company's FasTab technology.

Symax® FasTab, 0.125 mg hyoscyamine sulfate, is a prescription anticholinergic/antispasmodic product featuring a chewable melt, orally disintegrating tablet, specifically engineered to enhance buccal delivery. The launch of this product, the first from Capellon using the FasTab delivery system, represents a line extension of Capellon's successful Symax® line. Hyoscyamine sulfate is indicated for adjunctive therapy in the treatment of various lower intestinal and urinary tract disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome, diverticulitis, spastic colitis, pylorospasm, peptic ulcer, spastic bladder, cystitis, and other non-specific visceral spasms and cramping.

The FasTab drug delivery system is unique. Although the tablets may be chewed, swallowed, or manipulated as traditional immediate release, oral or sublingual tablets, FasTab tablets dissolve rapidly when chewed offering immediate bioavailability through absorption in the buccal cavity. FasTabs are particularly useful for patient with chronic swallowing disorders or when water is not available or inappropriate.
