• What is Phenyltoloxamine?

Phenyltoloxamine Citrate is an ethanolamine type antihistamine, that acts as an adjuvant analgesic, which augment the analgesic effect of acetaminophen.

• Is Zgesic an NSAID?

No Zgesic is not a NSAID. Zgesic is a COX-3 inhibitor. Therefore Zgesic does not affect the anti-inflammatory response, does not affect blood clotting, and is safe for the stomach lining.

• Is there too much Acetaminophen in Zgesic?

Acetaminophen becomes toxic at 3900mg and Zgesic taking at the maximum dosing only has 3600mg.

• What is the dosing for Zgesic?

1-2 tablets every 8-12 hours do not exceed 6 in 24 hours.

• Will Zgesic make my patients sleeping?

Every patient is different. But it may cause drowsiness so tell patients to try at bed time to see how it affects them.
